PROJECT: Guitar Player's Stool
PROJECT: Guitar Player's Stool
Plenty of furniture is designed and built for general use, but even more is made for purpose. Playing a guitar in a typical armchair is an effort in futility; the arms get in the way of the guitar neck and limit your range of motion while also potentially damaging a very expensive instrument. This guitar player’s chair, designed by world-renowned luthier Bruce Kunkel and featured in an issue of Fine Woodworking Magazine for its unique aesthetic, aims to alleviate those issues, while also creating a stunning piece of traditional furniture that could be showcased in anyone’s home, musician or otherwise.
